My favorite show on ABC’s “One Saturday Morning” is Recess. Recess is about 5 fourth graders.  Their names are TJ, Spinelli, Vince, Gretchen, Mikey and Gus. Each episode these kids have a wacky crazy adventure where they solve problems and learn new things. There are many other characters on the show too. Like a group called “The Ashleys.” They are pretty evil, but usually Ashley’s are nice. The Ashley’s put “jinx” on a kid and made it so no one would say his name. He had to go the whole day without talking.

Spinelli is my favorite character. She’s really tough, she doesn’t let people boss her around. Spinelli is not even scared of the Kindergartners. The Kindergartners are really wild. They can rip you apart in three seconds. The chief of the Kindergartners wears a head dress. They painted their faces with finger paints like Native war paint and carry spears.

TJ is a leader type, his red baseball cap is part of his identity.  Mikey is the big kid. He loves poetry and his parents make him take ballet which he is now very good at. Gretchen is the smart kid, she is always thinking and using her mind to solve problems and make calculations. Gus is the scaredy cat. He’s afraid to get dirty or break his glasses. I wish school was more like Recess.

Pepper Ann is the next show on “One Saturday Morning.” Pepper Ann Pearson is a totally uptight seventh grader who has no control over how she acts. She gets pissed off when things get out of her control. She freaked out when her mom started dating her science teacher. Her friends Nicky and Milo are pretty cool. They all have problems like regular kids in school, but they are really really weird. Nicky really wants to be a professional violinist and go to Italy. She was going out with this guy named Stuart, she freaked out when she was going out with him and when she broke up with him. Milo is an artist. He has problems with girls too. When he liked Gwen Mezro she didn’t like him and when he didn’t like Gwen Mezro she liked him. Watch “One Saturday Morning” on ABC But you have to wake up early so you can have breakfast first and get comfy.
